Evan Phillips Injury Update: Dodgers Reliever to Begin Minor League Rehab Assignment

Dodgers Announce Setback for Key Bullpen Arm

Los Angeles Dodgers Set to Miss Evan Phillips For Upcoming Series

In a blow to their bullpen, the Los Angeles Dodgers have placed right-hander Evan Phillips on the 15-day injured list due to a strained right hamstring. The injury occurred after Phillips caught his spikes while running on the bases.

Phillips, who has been a key contributor to the Dodgers' bullpen this season, has not played since May 3. Despite not pitching in over a month, Phillips still boasts an impressive 0.66 ERA and eight saves.

However, the Dodgers will not be without Phillips for long. The team announced that Phillips is set to begin a minor league rehab assignment with Class A Rancho Cucamonga.

Phillips' return will be a welcome addition to the Dodgers' bullpen, which has been dealing with injuries to several key relievers. With Phillips back in action, the Dodgers will have a stronger chance of continuing their success in the National League West.
